Qld: Falling beam crushes man's legs at Brisbane work site
BRISBANE, Dec 1 AAP - A concrete beam has crushed the legs of a man at a Brisbane construction
site.
Firefighters used airbags and hydraulic equipment to lift the beam off the man at the
Woolloongabba site.
He is in hospital in a critical condition, a Department of Emergency Services spokeswoman said.
A second man was treated for minor injuries and shock.
It is believed the men were working in a cherry picker when the beam came crashing
down about noon (AEST) on Monday.
